Charities and good causes

The Queen's Jubilee Gala Evening will be raising money for a number of Isle of Wight charities and good causes that spreads across the many needs of the residents of the Island. We have agreed with The Hampshire and IOW Community Foundation that the money raised during the evening will be collected by them and then designated to West Wight and Island wide charities and good causes that are highlighted for assistance.

For the last decade Yarmouth has held an Old Gaffers Town Festival for the enjoyment of Island and mainland visitors. Any profits from this event have been allocated to West Wight charities, and many organisations have benefitted greatly from this money. There will be a shortage this year as the Town event is not being held. We aim to help these great causes from proceeds from our Gala evening.

Local charities and good causes for consideration include:-

  • St. James Church roof appeal
  • Community Hall of Yarmouth and District (CHOYD)
  • Yarmouth CE Primary School
  • Yarmouth Recreation Ground
  • IOW Community Foundation - the formal name is the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation
  • West Wight Sports Centre
  • Yarmouth Scouts
Tickets: £85.00 per person or bring a table of 10
